Hello there! Surprise announcement! I wanted all of you subscribed to my newsletter to be the first to know that the Loverboys and I will be having a release concert on Loverboy Lucian’s release night! I’m so excited to perform the ENTIRE album, tracks 1-10, in order, live, for the first time ever. All of us including Luc and Moody will be doing the show, alongside some amazingly talented friends of ours on horns, and background vocals. There will be special guests opening for us and they will be announced at a later time as well. I’m so excited to perform at the Faight alongside my Loverboys. We kicked off the Loverboy era at The Faight last month and it only makes sense that we celebrate the entire album at a venue near and dear to our hearts. Fun fact 10 years ago when I first got sick with Glaucoma, I sang “Behind Those Closed Doors”, from my first album “Roy”, right next door at Cafe International on open mic night. I’ll never forget it. At the time I was already using my walking stick and my dad guided me to the performance area. With my dark glasses on I sang that song for the first time ever. Now 10 years later we’ll be performing my 2nd studio album in full at the venue right next door. What a meta experience this will be! Anyways, if you are in SF on May 10, 2024 I hope you can come celebrate the release of my new album and hear the entire thing performed live for the first time ever. And yes, for the few of you who commented on the album release date, my 29th birthday IS the following day on May 11th. I’m very excited to close out my 28th year and launch my 29th year with this release show. We have our sold out Valentine’s Day SoFar show this Wednesday. I’m so excited to celebrate with this sure to be beautiful audience singing some sweet sweet love songs from Loverboy world.
