Hello there! I hope you're all good. Staying joyful, staying healthy, and most importantly staying sexy af 😋! The loverboys and I had our first rehearsal of the year, for our first show of the year. Come see us with our SoFar Sounds family on Janaury 19th in Lower Haight SF. Click here for tickets. It's so cool to finally be able to start rehearsing new songs from “Loverboy Lucian”. We all loved the “Roy” album era, but we kinda got tired of playing that set list for nearly 2 years, lol. Don't worry, some of your favorites songs (and ours) will make the cut and will still be performed live. It wouldn't be a “Roy” show without me and the audience crying deep in our feels to “Memories”.

We've never performed new music early. However, we're breaking the rule for this era. The loverboys and I really needed something new and fresh. The fact that there is a whole new album designed to be performed live, we sure can give a few early previews on stage.

Since “The Closed Doors Tour", my band, “the loverboys”, has always been a revolving door of members. I'm very blessed and fortunate to have started that journey with some amazing musicians. S/O to my forever brothers, Con Gleeson (The Last Gray Wolf), Jackson Wright, and Mikey Weinstein. As the show must go on - Still front and center with me, since day 1, is our fearless musical director and lead drummer, Mike Abrams. And slapping the bass is our lead bass baddie, Michael Cloutier. We're usually joined by the sensational Nathan x Moody on lead gutiar, but he won't be able to play at our first show of the year. Don't worry, Moody will be guitar licking and causing trouble with us soon 😈

With the “Loverboy Lucian” era fully unfolding before our eyes, we realized we needed a key player. We're still on the hunt for someone to play with us on a more full time capacity, but for now we're stoked to bring in honoray guest loverboys to join us on stage. This week we have the honor and privilege of working with one of my closest friends, Lucas Matthew Goss. Luc is a phenomenal musucian in his own right, and the loverboys and I are so grateful he wanted to hop on and join us as we kick off our first of many shows this year. 

'm so excited for Friday's show. No pun inteneded but this is truly a “Second Chance To Do It All Right”. This is the first SoFar of the year, first show of the year,  first show of the loverboy lucian era, and a fresh slate for me, the artist formally known as Roy Lucian Baza. Truly reborn, and redeemed with a new sound, new music, new look, heck, I even got new hair, hahaha 🤣
