Hello there! It's the big day. One of the proudest honors of my career thus far. Hotel Cafe.
LA. I’m here. I’m home again. And I'm back and better than ever!! What a dream to finally play the main stage at a venue I have truly loved since I was 12 years old. I used to watch old grainy youtube videos of up and coming artists playing at this special venue back in 2007. This is such a special full circle moment for me. Playing 2nd stage with Writers Block, back in 2022 was a bucket list item that I'm proud that I was able to accomplish. Playing 2nd stage on the Closed Doors tour in 2023 was my own personal nightmare. No one showed up to that show and it mentally messed me up for a while. I was disappointed and embarrassed, it took me to transform into Loverboy Lucian to truly get over and grow from that experience. When the incorporable Lucas Flood reached out and asked if the Loverboys and I would be interested in being apart of “not another showcase”, this time on the main stage, I immediately accepted. As I continue to rise from the Roy era ashes and soar with the sweet sweet love of Loverboy Lucian, I’m taking and using this incredible opportunity as a 2nd chance to do it all right. The main stage has always been the main goal for the dreams i’ve had of this venue. Now after tonight, me and my Loverboys get to say we played on that stage. I truly hope everyone enjoys our show tonight. I hope we bring you pure joy. I'm not the little boy this venue used to know. I’m Roy Loverboy Lucian, and my loverboys and I can’t wait to give you some sweet sweet love songs in a few hours. There's much more special announcements coming this month. Hotel Cafe is just kicking us off! Hang tight, bb.
